thank you for being here
I’m Nava (she/her). I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I am a cisgender woman, a second-generation Persian immigrant, and the daughter of refugees.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years as a front-line support worker alongside survivors of gender-based violence. That experience shaped the way I approach this work, teaching me the importance of meeting people where they are, understanding the impact of larger systems on our lives, and creating a space where people feel safe, respected, and truly heard. I saw firsthand how powerful it can be to have someone walk alongside you with compassion and care.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and identity. I also support people who are exploring their sense of self, relationships, and patterns of relating.
I work with relationships - couples and family dyads - in navigating conflict and feeling stuck, attachment challenges, trauma, life transitions, communication, intimacy and closeness.
who I work with
My approach is collaborative, person-centred, and grounded in intersectional feminist and anti-oppressive values. I aim to offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can move at your own pace and feel supported in exploring your experiences.
