Individual Counselling

Individual counselling is a space for you to slow down and make sense of what’s going on in your life. This might include anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, trauma, or just feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing and what might help you feel more grounded, clear, and supported.

Relationship Counselling

Relationship counselling offers a space to better understand each other and the patterns that can show up between you. This might include communication difficulties, conflict, disconnection, rebuilding trust, or wanting to feel more close and connected.

We’ll work together to make sense of what’s happening in the relationship and support more honest and effective ways of relating.

complimentary consultation

A no-cost 15–20 minute virtual consultation offers an opportunity for us to connect, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for your needs.

Following our consult, if the fit feels good, we can continue on to the initial session.

what therapy asks of you

Therapy doesn’t require you to have things figured out, but it does ask for some willingness to show up and be honest about what’s going on for you, even when that feels uncomfortable or unclear.

It can also be helpful to be open to reflection between sessions, and to try out new ways of thinking, feeling, or responding in your life. Change usually happens gradually, through both our sessions and what unfolds outside of them.

what I bring

I bring my training, experience, and ongoing curiosity, along with a steady and supportive presence. I aim to offer a space where you don’t have to perform or have the “right” words, just a place where we can be curious together about what’s happening and what you need.

in-person sessions

In-person sessions take place at Mt Pleasant Counselling Collective’s Main Street location. This office space is located behind Coco et Olive and across from Liberty Bakery.

The office space is accessible, there are no stairs. To get inside you will need to use a door code, which will be provided to you before your first session. Once inside, you’re welcome to take a seat in the waiting area until your session starts. There is a gender neutral single stall bathroom beside the waiting area.

There is no parking on site but you are able to find free parking in the residential neighbourhood off of 21st and 20th near Quebec St. There is paid street parking available on Main St. as well. If taking transit, the 3 and 25 bus lines are nearby. If biking, there are several places to lock your bike up on Main St., please bring a bike lock!

virtual sessions

Virtual sessions take place over JaneApp, a Vancouver-based software used for scheduling and storing charts that is encrypted and PIPA compliant.

30 minutes before the start of your session, you will receive an email from JaneApp with a link to our video call. Please be in a private space with stable internet connection. The same confidentiality policies apply to virtual session as in-person sessions.
